SAINT VALENTINE'S DAY A POEM

Hi guys,
I want to share this poem about love with you. It was written by Adrian Henry a British poet , a painter and a singer.  The poem defines love in different ways: physical sensations, sexual connotations adolescent experiences.

Read the poem and.........................................................................................................

Love is feeling cold in the back of van
Love is a fanclub with only two fans
Love is walking holding painstained hands
Love is

Love is fish and chips on  winter nights
Love is blankets full of starnge delights
Love is when you don't put out the light
Love is

Love is the presents in the Christmas shops
Love is when you are feeling Topo of the Pops
Love is what happens when the music stops
Love is

love is white pantires lying all forlon
Love is a pink nightdress still slightly warm
Love is when you have to leave at dawn
Love is

Love is you and love is me
Love is prison and love is free
Love's what's there when you're away from me
Love is...

make up your own definition to complete the last line. I'm looking forward to a lot of comments from you!

  3. At our school we celebrated St Valentine's Day as well. A special event, dedicated to it was organised by our ninth-formers. They presented a short concert, also couples of students were invited to take part in mock competitions. the tasks were really funny... they had to dance standing on one newspaper, every time cutting it smaller and smaller, also they had to create a poem with the given words and so on. there were students who performed songs and dances. After the concert we had a disco. It was fun.

  5. I agree with Emilija's opinion about the event organised at our school on St Valentine's Day. It was fun, we could laugh a lot and take part in different games and other activities, enjoy watching contemporary and street dance, sing and dance together. Not only students, but also teachers praised the event, so everyone liked this wonderful festival. And what about you? Did you celebrate it at school?
